Early Intervention (EI) serves infants and toddlers from birth to 36 months who have developmental delays or disabilities or who are at risk for developmental delays. EI is voluntary for families, and builds upon and provides support and resources to assist family members and caregivers to enhance children's learning and development through everyday learning opportunities.
We welcome your EI provider to be part of your child's team at Linda's House. With parental/guardian permission EI can provide services during the time your child is in our care. Since teachers spend a great deal of time with the children in their care, they know them well. They can share your child's interests and preferences (toys, friends, games) as well as information about daily routines with EI provider. Intervention can take place during naturally occurring activities and routines in the classroom. There is no need to remove the child from the classroom or activity for EI visits. We will work with your EI provider to schedule visits so we can prepare by considering where the child is succeeding and where there are challenges.
